We believe in working with a large number of accredited farmers who do not use or promote the use of pesticides and genetically modified seeds to grow their produce.

Soil

Soil is the medium in which plants grow year-round, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Soil is critical for plants since it is where they receive water and nutrients.

So, how does one determine which soil is the greatest soil for plants? Loam, also known as top soil, is the optimal mix for plant growth. Loam is made up of sand, clay, and slit. A ideal mixture should have 40% sandy soil, 40% silt soil, and 20% mud. This is a perfect soil texture for plants since it stores water and nutrients effectively while still allowing good drainage and oxygen infiltration, which is critical for plant growth. Apart from being the right combination, the soil should also be fertile. Soil fertility refers to a soil's ability to create a healthy environment for plants while also giving nutrients for their growth.

Soil is made up of four main elements:

1 : Organic matter (also known as oc – organic carbon) – which is created by the breakdown of animal, human, and plant waste.

2 : Minerals

3 : Water

4 : Gases

A healthy soil is one that is alive, with a high level of microbial activity. The richness of the soil increases as the number of microbes in the soil increases. Increasing the amount of organic matter in the soil encourages microbial migration, which aids in the formation of excellent humus

Ph. - Because the soil is the primary medium for plant growth, its ph. is equally vital.

The pH of soil is a measurement of alkalinity and acidity that ranges from 0 to 14.

Acidic soil has a ph of 0 to 7, while alkaline soil has a ph of greater than 7. Soil with a ph of 5 to 7 is believed to be favourable for plant growth since nutrients and minerals are available in an optimal range.
